Chartreux Renaissance Portrait Coaster Set

Some cats have known they were aristocracy all along, and the Chartreux Cat is one of them. Here that crest lands on a set of four coasters, finished with an antique depth.

■ What's included A set of four coasters carrying the Chartreux Cat's Renaissance crest — two rounded squares of about 9 cm, and two circles of about 9 cm across.

■ Materials A diatomite blend on the face, which drinks up condensation rather than letting it pool, with a cork backing to protect the table. About 3–4 mm thick.

■ Care Wipe away moisture and marks promptly with a dry cloth. Long spells in direct sunlight can shift the colour.

■ Character Each coaster is finished by hand in an antique style, so depth and tone differ a little from piece to piece. No two are exactly alike, and that is the point.

■ A good gift Housewarmings, new homes and birthdays — a set that gets used rather than shelved.

■ Shipping Carefully packed and shipped within 4–7 days of purchase.
